Eight months ago,we took up a booth in the Little Penang Street Market which is one of the exciting arts and cultural event in Penang.
Happening every last sunday of the month, and everytime there were around 70 booths set up. Cultural arts were the norm, and occasionally there are some designers like us who leaped into action, selling our very own made-in-Malaysia, local designers' brand t-shirts, magazine, plush toys and accessories!
It's a great place to be at if you're a tourist in Penang and want to have a taste of Penang culture densely centred in one place at one time!Or, you're from the generation where names such as 'rempenyek' or 'clog' sounds like aliens in some sci-fi movies, you're in for an eye-opening treat!
Basically it is aimed to preserve our dying culture such as the batik, gasing, joss- stick making, and a chance for everyone to sample our local delicacies like 'lemang' or the infamous 'nutmeg' which normally are hard to find.
Coming this 29th July 2007, marks the 1 year anniversary of Little Penang Street Market.It's more than a celebration , its signifies that Penang culture is more alive than ever!Come and eat, come and be inspired, most importantly drop by our stall 'urban-cr3atures' to get your hands on our limited edition 'GREEN CREATURES' designer's toy and also Floetic jewellery!!
