Been long long time since my last blog :)

Guess when life starts to ride fast, you can't possibly document em all down! :(

Well, to wrap 2008, guess it's only appropriate to blog some significant events in these past few months ...

My new found "Official fav drink - woot! Redbull Vodka! go go try it ! damn nice la wei!!

25 is such a big number.. mixed feelings and time to realize one BIG resolution which i made loooonggg time ago.. ya u know what i mean :P

Another significant milestone, is one of my very close friend is getting married!! huhu.. Yes ya'll! Big big congrates to JoAnn with the BIG A :) 

Hope you have a wonderful wonderful many happy years ahead with you husband :) Well the wedding's on Jan 11 09 . Its gonna be a blast!! 

Made a business trip to China again ! woot! work + fun is awesome!

Shopping in china is so euphoric! tee hee!

So so many plans for 2009, inspite of the economic downturn, life goes on yea :) 

Im planning on big big plans, which is good sometimes when the new year comes, there's always space for new hopes :) and down goes the bad bad events ! touch wood!!

The Day .

Rumours were circulating like crazy , sms'es saying  the inevitable, soon, petrol stations were empty, anticipating that the day that petrol prices were speculated to go down. 

It was. Saturday. August 23rd. 2008. Morning. 9am.

No, the day petrol prices went down 15 cents weren't one of the milestone of my life. 

This is the day I was tempted to taste the artificial world. 
I failed. Kicked out the first round. Heh. Must be my loud voice.

Yea, the SECOND kicked out of my life, after medicine. 

The SIA kicked out. WOOT! Life is wonderful! :) 

Little Miss Sunshine :)

I cried, I laughed, I cried till i laughed, I laughed till tears rolled down my eyes. 

Amazingly, I watched this movie 2 times, in a day. This is Little Miss Sunshine, my friend.

This movie is so amazingly wonderful that i just has to persuade somebody to watch it. 

A movie so simple, no exciting plot, no expensive budget, this is all it takes to bring our feet back on the grounds. 

It's a story about an exaggerated dysfunctional family (which i feel portrays how all family is not perfect) who in spite of all disagreements from the point of arguing over financial matters during the times of bankruptcy , to the coke snorting grandpa who teaches the grandson to F*** as many girls as he wants, still will come together and rise against all quirky series of events.

It also teaches us to break free from the artificiality of the world and accept all flaws in every wonderful person and that there are more to life than Beauty pageants..:)

Most importantly, it will make u cry, and make u laugh at the same time, which will crosses out that one thing to do in your "Bucket List"- another movie ,which i shall blog about too soon..*grins* till then.. have a great week ahead my friend.

two sides of the coin

when you thought u have lived so much of life,

tasted the best of both worlds,

you start to wonder what is left in that vast unventured territory.

the curious mind ponders of the what ifs once again.

it's restless, to the mind as much as pushing the limits of your faith.

no point reminiscing the past, of the naivety you once hold,

as they are tainted, as much as we want to deny,

they are polluted by your experiences, your choices, and most of all your mistakes,

are all coming back in torrents, waving back at you like your identical twin,

familiar yet so distant.

you think that being cynical is fun, but it's tormenting really,

to say not what the heart feels, but of what the worlds wants to hear.

Seriously, i bet everyone longs for simplicity and yet life holds nothing but.

Love is pure when it stands alone, but when all your life you are searching ,

and yearning for that moment of truth, you have loved and get nothing in return.

And so, you start to give and demand to get in return,

more and more you start to ask until it torments everyone around you,

and it eats you from within, you trust not even yourself.

I guess it will be tough for everyone, including myself,

in this life-long search for that identity when the coin has two sides,

when there is heaven and hell, when everything your life has brought you to believe,

could be the opposite of how it seemed.

scary? well there is no wrong or right, if that's any consolation.

only your identity for you to hold on to, which in the end, i can call it mine.

it has been sometime since my last entry. 

life has been a roller-coaster ride, each moment passing by unknowingly.

unknowingly to the mind, but nonetheless physically draining.

when the mind is idle, it keeps swirling like it's a dream.

i sleep to keep myself sane, and sometimes are thankful when work overwhelms me.

He says it's all in me. Undoubtedly i guess he is right.

Poisoned by the roots of evil . Blurring the lines of black and white.

So they say, a writer needs drama, i wonder how far it's true.

I never write, anymore when it's all good.

Perhaps deep inside i yearn for this, when things are smooth-sailing,

there's nothing worthy of writing.

Perhaps i created all these, fabricating all these dark moments.

So that i could write, from within my bones.

Between two extremes, i could write a book if i wish.

But i guess you could see, from the fragments of my writings,

my mind is scattered, decomposed, without a storyline.

my attention span lasts no longer than 5 sentence and it scatters away.

It's been a long time since i felt proud of myself,

I had a dream this afternoon, a scary moment but it felt so real.

To those who knows me, knows im a true devil and angel.

sometimes the other overwhelms the latter, and vice versa.

the transition is scary, to me and to people surrounding me.

the pain is throbbing, to you i know.

to see me sitting on the fence, you don't deserve this,

tormenting your mind, inflicting pain to your fragility.

till i have found my purpose in life, i then will wake up with a smile

and thinking all these makes it all worthwhile.

Get Mooovin 2008

Thanks to Vivian Toh and Jaylim,for bringing us the Get Mooovin Movable Art 2008. 

Honda Jazz installation Art collaborations  by Jaylim, Black Fryday and Lestat. 

The venue sponsor "Palate Palette" provided a friendly atmosphere,  spacious gallery, and lastly nice but a bit pricey food :P

The event started off by a short brief by Vivian thanking all the supporting designers who gave their support to make the event happen! It was heart warming and i believe it should be the culture to be instilled in our design community. Very often we tend to not realise the importance of gratitude and how a simple thanks will change the lives of others. Woot! 

The main character of the event must be the one and only Ms. Hua with Vivian wearing the trademark Cheongsam (too bad i didnt manage to take a picture with her).

An extraordinary performance art which somehow sent me giggling while keeping my eyes glued in awe. Presented by Raymond, the installation is fresh and daring, to bring the focus to a mundane activity - "Passing Motion"! 
It expresses passing motion as an art itself, but hey life's all about art anyways! 

It's a waste we did not manage to catch Muid Latiff's performance as the rain stopped us from going back from the mamak stall. But hey check out the video!
